I teach Shorin ryu katas and weapons privately now. I still compete in national and regonal tournaments. The Kama and Staff are my favorite. I would like to thank Sensei Frank Hargrove for making all the great Kama Jutsu tapes. Thank you Grand Masters.

Interesting site. I train in your sister style, Kobayashi Shorin Ryu under Shihan Sid Rayford in Merced, Ca who is under Soke Sid Campbell in Oakland, Ca. We have similar katas and a few that you do from my old style in Shuri Ryu (who at the time was founded by Grandmaster Robert Trias.) Anaku (anaku) Wansu (wanshu) I am also familiar with fukyugata ni and wankan. My favorite is Chinto. Keep up the good work and training! Os......

Hello, I just recently been introduced to Shorin-Ryu by my brothers-in-law. they study under Sensei Fred Chistian 7th Dan,kyoshi. his dojo is located in Belleville, Illinois. I was just looking up some info on this style of karate and saw this site. I think this site is one of the best. I hope to see more in the future. thank you!

I attended the Orlando dojo years ago when I was around 7 and 8, now 20. I owned a copy of the shorin-ryu karate-do book by Master Nagamine, but lost it a few months ago. I was curious if there were any dojo`s in the Fort Lauderdale area and where I might be able to attain a copy of the book I lost.

thank you

FINALLY.... We're back on-line and hopefully we have circumvented the SPAMMERS, at least for a while.

A couple of simple rules - as per Nagamine Shoshin "Karate starts and ends with courtesy" lets keep it that way. Watch what you say (i.e, keep the adult language to a minimum.)

On this board, we are ALL Matsubayashi-Ryu practitioners! Politics (i.e. this branch vs. that branch) will NOT be tolerated! We should be united by our love of the art not divided.

Please have fun!

Michael
